Terrace Dining Services Assistant

About the role#

The Terrace Dining Services Assistant position offers an opportunity to gain work experience while supporting dining operations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service to guests and assisting with the daily management of dining shifts. On-the-job training is provided.

What you'll do#

• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure positive guest experiences.
• Assist in managing and running shifts, including the supervision and training of new student workers.
• Set up and break down service lines, including the proper storage or disposal of food items.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation according to standard operating procedures.
• Replenish service lines from coolers, ovens, and hot boxes.
• Monitor and record food temperatures at required intervals.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and allergens, to assist guests with inquiries.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management.

What you'll need#

• Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of food sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Experience in managing or training others.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the shift.

• Location: Ithaca, New York.
• Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.
• Work Modality: On-site.
