STUDENT-WICB Rhythm Realm Music Director ('26-'27)

About the role#

Ithaca College is seeking a student to serve as the Rhythm Realm Music Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is part of the WICB team and focuses on the management and development of the station's hip-hop, rap, and R&B programming.

What you'll do#

• Coordinate, train, and schedule Rhythm Realm show DJs.
• Maintain and catalog the hip-hop, rap, and R&B music library, including the processing of new music submissions.
• Participate in weekly WICB Executive Staff and General Staff meetings, held on Wednesdays.

What you'll need#

• Must have been a member of WICB for at least one semester.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for both in-person and email interactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
• Preferred major: Communications.

• Location: Ithaca, New York.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $16 per hour.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and I-9 employment eligibility requirements.
