STUDENT-WICB Local Music Director ('26-'27)

About the role#

WICB is seeking a Local Music Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a paid, on-site student position at Ithaca College that offers experiential learning within the station.

What you'll do#

• Coordinate with local and Western New York artists.
• Conduct interviews and host the weekly radio show, Homebrew.
• Catalog the local music library, including fielding and processing new music submissions.
• Attend weekly WICB Executive Staff and General Staff meetings.

What you'll need#

• Must have been a member of WICB for at least one semester.
• Strong communication skills, both in-person and via email.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Availability to attend weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

• Location: Ithaca, New York.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
• Note: This position is subject to a criminal background check and requires completion of I-9 employment eligibility documentation.
