WICB is seeking a Jazz and Specialty Music Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is a paid, on-site student opportunity designed to provide experiential learning within the station.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate, train, and schedule jazz and specialty show DJs.
- Catalog the jazz and specialty music library, including fielding new music submissions.
- Attend weekly WICB Executive Staff and General Staff meetings, held Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Act as a collaborative team player within the station.
What you'll need#
- Membership in WICB for at least one semester.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Effective communication abilities, both in-person and via email.
- Ability to fulfill the scheduling and cataloging responsibilities of the role.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Pay Rate: $16 per hour.
- This position is subject to a criminal background check and successful completion of I-9 employment eligibility requirements.
