About the role#
The Unity Center is seeking responsible and dependable Student Drivers to support transportation needs for programs, events, and off-campus excursions. This role is essential in ensuring that students can safely access opportunities that foster community, belonging, and engagement. Drivers are compensated for the full duration of assigned events and trips, not just the time spent driving.
What you'll do#
- Safely drive college rental vehicles to transport students, staff, and materials to and from events and excursions.
- Support Unity Center programs by ensuring timely arrival and departure for all scheduled activities.
- Remain present and available for the entire duration of assigned events.
- Conduct basic vehicle checks, including cleanliness, fuel levels, and visible issues, before and after use.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedules, delays, or concerns.
- Attend required meetings or briefings related to trips as needed.
- Follow all college driving policies, safety procedures, and risk management guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Must be a certified college-approved driver or willing to complete certification prior to driving.
- Must meet all college risk management, CAN certification, and driver eligibility requirements.
- Completion of required onboarding and training, with costs covered by the Unity Center.
- Excellent reliability, punctuality, and accountability.
- Strong sense of responsibility and sound judgment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
