About the role#
The Terrace Student Manager position centers on providing customer service and managing daily operations. You will help oversee student staff, run shifts, and ensure that guests have a positive experience. This role requires standing and walking throughout your shift. We provide on-the-job training for all new hires.
What you'll do#
- Manage other student staff members and coordinate daily shifts.
- Train new student workers on operational procedures.
- Set up serving stations with menu items, utensils, and condiments.
- Replenish service lines from ovens, coolers, and hot boxes.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workstation and follow safety standards.
- Record food temperatures at required intervals.
- Break down service lines after meal service and store or dispose of food properly.
- Answer guest questions about ingredients, allergens, and unit offerings.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with your team and management.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional customer service skills.
