About the role#
The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures is hiring an undergraduate teaching assistant for German. This role supports first-year students by leading recitation sessions that reinforce material taught in class. You will work in groups of no more than 13 students to help them practice the language.
What you'll do#
- Lead 50-minute drill sessions in German.
- Meet weekly with the course instructor to coordinate exercises and discuss upcoming material.
- Organize and prepare all exercises for your sessions.
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Track attendance for all sessions and report records to the instructor.
- Communicate any concerns to the course instructor or the Program Director.
What you'll need#
- You must be an advanced language student.
- Completion of a training program is required.

- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Pay rate: $16.00 per hour.
