About the role#
The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures is hiring an advanced French student to serve as an undergraduate teaching assistant. You will lead 50-minute drill sessions for first-year students to reinforce material introduced in their main courses. Groups consist of no more than 13 students.
What you'll do#
- Lead 50-minute drill sessions in French.
- Meet weekly with the course instructor to coordinate exercises.
- Organize and prepare all materials for your sessions.
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Take attendance and report records to the instructor.
- Communicate any concerns to the instructor or the Program Director.
What you'll need#
- Status as an advanced language student.
- Comfort speaking and leading in front of a classroom.
