This position supports the Intermediate/Advanced Sculpture course (ART 2/35000). The role involves assisting the instructor with classroom instruction and maintaining a safe environment for students working with sculpture equipment and materials.
What you'll do#
- Support the instructor in ensuring students use sculpture equipment and materials safely and correctly.
- Assist faculty in preparing materials for classroom instruction.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties in the metal shop, wood shop, and plaster areas.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in woodworking, welding, mold making, and metal casting.
- Strong knowledge of the sculpture area.
- Preference is given to Art majors or minors.
