STUDENT-Residential Life Office Operations Assistant (Summer)

About the role#

The Office of Residential Life is seeking two Operations Assistants for the summer term. This position provides 32 hours of work per week through August, with the possibility of continuing into the next academic year based on performance evaluations. You will be supervised by the Housing Specialist and the Circles Area Coordinator.

What you'll do#

• Conduct room and building inspections to identify damage or necessary maintenance.
• Assess inspection notes to determine damage charges and enter them into billing software.
• Submit work orders via Maintenance Direct for cleaning, repairs, and general maintenance.
• Escort contractors through facilities and review their work to ensure project completion.
• Manage office tasks, including answering phones and responding to emails.
• Complete assigned special projects and adhere to all Residential Life regulations and the Student Conduct Code.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at Ithaca College.
• A minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Good standing with the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.
