About the role#
This position provides students with experiential learning opportunities in audio engineering. Staff Engineers support live performances, recording sessions, and post-production work at Ithaca College.
What you'll do#
- Perform audio engineering tasks for live events and studio sessions.
- Operate Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) and maintain archival files.
- Manage microphone setup and placement.
- Assess and maintain accurate gain structure.
- Configure analog and network-based interconnects.
- Interact directly with performers to facilitate sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the Sound Recording Technology (B.M. or B.S.) program.
- Experience with DAW operation.
- Proficiency in microphone setup and placement.
- Ability to assess gain structure.
- Experience with live performances and recording sessions.
