The Print Media Teaching Assistant provides instructional and operational support for three concurrent print media courses, including Introduction to Print Media and Intermediate/Advanced Print Media. This position offers an opportunity to assist faculty in a studio setting while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the department's facilities.
What you'll do#
- Support instructors during class sessions and workshops.
- Assist with the preparation of demonstrations and instructional materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized studio environment in rooms 106 and 107.
- Ensure the responsible use of equipment, including etching tanks, ovens, presses, and general studio tools.
- Manage inventory and perform routine maintenance tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current status as an Art major or minor.
- Completion of ART 16000: Introduction to Print Media.
- Strong familiarity with printmaking processes and studio protocols.
- Reliability, clear communication skills, and a commitment to studio safety.
