Studio Staff members manage the off-campus studio by assisting students and clients with check-in and check-out processes, providing location tours, and overseeing general studio maintenance. This position is open to students with majors or minors in the Park School of Communications, with preference given to students who have participated in Park Productions workshops or events.
There is no set schedule or guaranteed number of hours, as assignments are based on staff availability and studio reservation times. Shifts typically last no more than an hour, as staff are required for check-in and check-out rather than the duration of the shoots.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist students and clients who reserve the studio.
- Provide orientations at the start of reservations to review guidelines and answer questions.
- Conduct final walkthroughs at the end of reservations to ensure the space is clean, nothing is damaged, and no property is missing.
- Ensure all users follow studio guidelines and safety protocols.
- Provide tours for location scouts and explain how the space can be utilized for projects.
- Monitor studio equipment and supplies to ensure everything is in working order.
- Perform general maintenance, including tidying the space and updating door access codes after each use.
- Report any damages or misuse to the Studio Manager immediately.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the Park School of Communications (major or minor).
- A flexible schedule with availability to work late nights and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of studio equipment, technology, and maintenance.
- Previous experience in studio management, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred but not required.

- Location: South Hill Business Campus, Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay Rate: $16.15 per hour.
