About the role#
Studio Staff members manage the off-campus studio by assisting students and clients with check-in and check-out processes, providing location tours, and performing general studio maintenance. This position is open only to students with majors or minors in the Park School of Communications. Preference is given to students who have participated in Park Productions workshops, events, and other activities as trainees.
There are no set hours or guaranteed number of hours, as the schedule is based on studio reservations. Assignments are made based on staff availability. Work frequently occurs during late nights and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist students and clients who reserve the studio.
- Provide tours for location scouts and answer questions regarding the space.
- Conduct orientations at the beginning of a reservation, including showing where equipment is located and reiterating safety guidelines.
- Perform final walkthroughs at the end of a reservation to ensure nothing is left behind, damaged, or removed.
- Ensure all users follow studio guidelines and safety protocols.
- Maintain the studio space and equipment, including changing the door PIN after each use.
- Monitor the space for cleanliness and report any damages or misuse to the Studio Manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment with a major or minor in the Park School of Communications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of studio equipment, technology, and maintenance.
- Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
- A flexible schedule with availability to work some late nights and weekends.
- Previous experience in studio management, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
