About the role#
Project Managers work with the Director of Park Productions to manage client projects within the Pro Unit. You will serve as a producer on several projects and oversee other staff producers to ensure all work stays on track. This role requires balancing the needs of clients with the capabilities of the student team to deliver successful projects.
What you'll do#
- Consult with potential clients and draft project budgets.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the production process.
- Track status updates and ensure projects progress smoothly.
- Lead weekly Pro Unit meetings and contribute to weekly manager meetings.
- Coordinate shoots, schedule with clients, assign crew, and prepare interview questions and call sheets.
- Oversee ongoing projects and support other staff producers.
- Represent Park Productions at campus events like the Student Org Fair and Whalen Symposium.
- Communicate with the Park Productions member list regarding crew calls, workshops, and opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Ithaca College student.
- Strong organizational skills with experience using spreadsheets, calendars, and task lists.
- Professional communication skills, including the ability to manage emails and respond in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with the film and video production process.
- Previous experience producing film projects.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Prior experience within Park Productions is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $16.30 per hour.
- Schedule: Approximately 4 office hours per week, plus two 30-minute team meetings. Additional hours for shoots or events are scheduled as needed.
