STUDENT - Marketing and Events Promotion Assistant

About the role#

Marketing and Events Promotion Assistants support the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance by managing promotional efforts and ensuring effective communication for upcoming events. This role is designed for students interested in gaining practical experience in marketing, communications, and event coordination.

What you'll do#

• Film and edit short video interviews for MTD social media channels.
• Capture photos and videos during events and edit content for future posts.
• Conduct interviews with performers and event attendees.
• Create and distribute promotional posters across campus and downtown locations.
• Submit event listings to community notice boards and the campus Intercom system.
• Design event slides for display on campus monitors.

What you'll need#

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic graphic design skills.
• Experience with shooting and editing photos and videos.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn.
• Preferred majors include Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
