About the role#
The Terrace Commissary Dining Hall is hiring students for late night shifts. This position offers on-the-job training and provides an opportunity to gain professional experience in a food service environment.
What you'll do#
- Set up serving stations with menu items, utensils, and condiments.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation throughout your shift.
- Take and record food temperatures at regular intervals.
- Replenish service lines from ovens, coolers, and hot boxes.
- Break down service lines after each meal service by storing or disposing of food properly.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding ingredients, allergens, and unit offerings.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with management and team members.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and move quickly.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

- Pay rate: $16.15 per hour.

- Eligibility: Open to students in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, Environmental Engineering, and Nursing.
