STUDENT- Late Night Terrace Commissary Dining Hall

About the role#

The Terrace Commissary Dining Hall is seeking students for a late-night position. This role provides an opportunity to gain work experience and develop transferable skills in a professional setting. On-the-job training is provided, and the position includes free meals during shifts.

What you'll do#

• Set up serving stations with menu items, utensils, condiments, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation according to standard operating procedures.
• Take and record food temperatures at required intervals.
• Replenish items on service lines from coolers, ovens, and hot boxes.
• Break down service lines after each meal service and properly store or dispose of food.
• Assist guests with inquiries regarding ingredients, allergens, and unit offerings.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and management.

What you'll need#

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Open to students from all majors, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, Environmental Engineering, and Nursing.
