About the role#
The Kosher Dining Services Assistant position at Terrace Dining Hall provides students with professional work experience in a food service environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and supporting daily dining operations. On-the-job training is provided.
What you'll do#
- Set up serving stations with all required menu items, utensils, and condiments.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation throughout the shift.
- Take and record food temperatures at specified intervals.
- Replenish service lines from ovens, coolers, and hot boxes.
- Break down service lines after meal service and store or dispose of food properly.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding ingredients, allergens, and unit offerings.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management.

- Knowledge of sanitation and food handling procedures.
