About the role#
Ithaca Bakery is a popular dining location on campus. This role offers students an opportunity to gain hospitality and service industry experience. Associates assist with daily operations, including food preparation, guest service, and inventory management. This position is open to students across various disciplines, including Psychology, Business Administration, Communications, Civil Engineering, and Human Resources.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly, attentive service to all guests.
- Prepare ingredients, sandwiches, and specialty drinks to order.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked stations and storage areas.
- Assist with inventory, receiving, stocking, and product rotation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Help keep the dining area clean and welcoming.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with the team.
- Manage timecards and shift responsibilities, including coordinating shift coverage when needed.
