STUDENT-ICTV Station Manager ('26-'27)

About the role#

The ICTV Station Manager serves as the primary leader for the station, overseeing operations and guiding the long-term vision for the organization. This one-year position begins in May 2026 and includes a training period with current leadership. The role is designed to provide professional experience in media management, leadership, and station administration.

What you'll do#

• Act as a liaison between the Manager of TV and Radio Operations, the Studio Manager, and student producers, volunteers, and executive staff.
• Develop and implement a long-term vision for the station in collaboration with ICTV members.
• Chair executive staff and producer meetings to address station oversight and concerns.
• Coordinate all annual and semi-annual station events and workshops.
• Directly oversee ICTV Special Projects programming, including the appointment and guidance of executive producers.
• Design and enforce administrative policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with station leadership on budgetary measures and equipment purchases.
• Serve as a resource to provide guidance and support to all station members.

What you'll need#

• Relevant work experience in media or broadcasting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• A solid understanding of television production processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Preferred majors include Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration, or Graphic Design.

Location & details#

• Location: Ithaca, New York.
• Modality: On-site.
• Term: One year, covering Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
• Compensation: $16 per hour.
