STUDENT-ICTV Sports Director

About the role#

The ICTV Sports Director serves as the Executive Producer for all sports programming at Ithaca College. This role acts as a primary liaison between ICTV and the Athletics Department, ensuring professional standards and coordinating access to facilities and events. This is a paid, on-site, full-time student position.

What you'll do#

• Serve as the Executive Producer for all sports programming, ensuring cohesive and professional broadcasts.
• Act as the main point of contact between ICTV and Athletics Department personnel to coordinate press and crew access.
• Manage the allocation of press passes and equipment from the ICTV Checkout Center for sports productions.
• Train cast and crew members at the start of each semester.
• Coordinate meetings and critiques with sports producers to ensure shows follow station workflows and maintain positive relationships with the Athletics Department.
• Select producers for specific shows as requested.
• Coordinate with external media outlets to share sports footage.
• Participate in weekly meetings with the ICTV executive staff.

What you'll need#

• At least one semester of prior experience volunteering within ICTV.
• Ability to manage equipment allocation and press credentials effectively.
• Strong communication skills to act as a liaison between departments.
• A cover letter detailing your qualifications, what you would bring to the role, and your vision for the future of ICTV.
• Majors in Communications, Media Studies, or Journalism are preferred.
