The Director of Web Development and Archives serves as a key member of the ICTV Executive Staff. This position focuses on the maintenance of the station's digital presence and the management of its historical archives. The role requires collaboration with producers and fellow staff to enforce technical standards and submission guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain the ICTV station website.
- Establish web submission guidelines and ensure timely upload of cleared episodes.
- Oversee the submission of graphics and digital content for the website.
- Manage ICTV’s digital archives using a uniform organizational system.
- Prepare individual submission guides for shows in coordination with the Director of Programming and Director of Technical Operations.
- Maintain show and Executive Staff email accounts.
- Ensure all content meets established technical standards.
- Collaborate with producers and staff to set and enforce station deadlines.
- Manage the ICTV Archiving team, including assigning schedules and responsibilities.
- Inform the Director of Programming of available archived content for re-airing.
- Attend weekly meetings with the ICTV Executive Staff.
What you'll need#
- At least one semester of experience volunteering within ICTV.
- Proficiency in website design, development, and maintenance.
- Experience with content management systems and submission processes.
- Knowledge of digital archiving systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students and staff to enforce station policies.
