IC Radio (VIC Radio and WICB) is seeking a Sports Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This paid position provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in station management and sports broadcasting.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate, train, and schedule radio sports reporters and live broadcast teams.
- Oversee the creation of weekly programming covering IC, local, national, and international sports.
- Participate in weekly VIC Radio and WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings.
What you'll need#
- Previous membership in IC Radio for at least one semester.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Effective communication abilities for both in-person and email correspondence.
- A collaborative approach to working within a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Pay rate: $16 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Preferred majors: Communications, Media Studies, or Journalism.
