About the role#
This position is part of the Federal Work Study program at Ithaca College. The role involves supporting residents at Longview through direct engagement and administrative assistance. It is designed to provide experiential learning opportunities that build transferable professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist residents with computer lessons, letter writing, and reading.
- Organize friendly visits for residents.
- Set up and lead or co-lead programs for the Recreation Department.
- Support staff with community outings in Ithaca.
- Complete various office tasks.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Previous experience working with older adults.
- A commitment to the mission of Longview.
- Eligibility for Federal Work Study.
- Majors in Psychology, Communications, or Human Resources are preferred.
