About the role#
This position supports the Longview community by providing direct assistance to residents and helping the Recreation Department run daily activities. This role is available only to students who have been awarded Federal Work Study.
What you'll do#
- Teach computer lessons to residents.
- Organize friendly visits, letter writing, and reading sessions.
- Lead or co-lead programs for the Recreation Department.
- Support community outings in the Ithaca area.
- Complete general office tasks.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Previous experience working with older adults.
- Dedication to the mission of Longview.
- Enrollment in Psychology, Communications, or Human Resources programs is preferred.
