About the role#
The Ithaca College Wellness Clinic is hiring Student Front Desk Assistants for the Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms. This is a paid, on-site position located in the Center for Health Sciences. We prefer students from the Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training or the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
What you'll do#
- Greet and orient clients and visitors to the clinic.
- Provide administrative support to the clinic staff.
- Schedule appointments and handle phone or email inquiries.
- Manage records for clients, facilities, and equipment.
- Handle facility maintenance tasks, including laundering towels.
- Perform office tasks like photocopying, mailing, and emailing documents.
- Enforce clinic policies and ensure client safety, including providing emergency care.
What you'll need#
- You must be a matriculated student at Ithaca College.
- Availability to work during weekday operational hours between 6 am and 7 pm is required. We prefer students who can commit to multiple semesters or summer sessions.
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to client confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams, is preferred.
- Upon hiring, you must complete training and certification in Adult CPR/AED, HIPAA, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Harassment Prevention.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Pay rate: $16 to $16.30 per hour.
- This is a part-time position subject to a criminal background check.
