About the role#
The Unity Center is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha), the national honor society for first-generation college students. This role focuses on sustaining the chapter by supporting programming, membership engagement, and the recognition of first-generation student achievement. The assistant helps foster a sense of community and belonging for students.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning and executing Tri-Alpha induction ceremonies, including logistics and event support.
- Support outreach and marketing efforts to increase the visibility of the program across campus.
- Coordinate and facilitate monthly social or educational workshops for first-generation students.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of inducted members.
- Support the identification, invitation, and onboarding process for new eligible students.
- Document events and track participation to assist with program assessment.
- Collaborate with Unity Center staff and campus partners to strengthen engagement.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- High attention to detail, particularly regarding data tracking and member records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and accountability.
- An interest in supporting the success of first-generation college students.
- Preferred experience includes event planning, program coordination, or basic marketing.
