About the role#
The Unity Center is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha), the national honor society for first-generation college students. This role focuses on sustaining the chapter through event support, membership engagement, and the promotion of first-generation student achievement. This is a paid position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning and executing Tri-Alpha induction ceremonies, including logistics and communication.
- Support outreach and marketing efforts to increase the visibility of Tri-Alpha across campus.
- Coordinate and facilitate monthly social or educational workshops focused on student success.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of inducted members.
- Identify, invite, and onboard new eligible students for induction.
- Collaborate with Unity Center staff and campus partners to strengthen engagement.
- Document events and track participation to support program assessment.

- High attention to detail, particularly regarding data and member records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and accountability.
- An interest in supporting the success of first-generation college students.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or Public Health.
