Teaching assistants support instructors in delivering the educational experience for the course. This role involves a mix of administrative support, logistical coordination, and direct student interaction to ensure the successful implementation of coursework.
What you'll do#
- Provide tutoring and direct assistance to students enrolled in the class.
- Assist the professor and lead TA with the implementation of course materials.
- Manage the purchasing and organization of supplies for lab sessions.
- Operate Ithaca College vehicles to transport students for class field trips.
- Perform administrative tasks necessary for course operations.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication skills to effectively tutor and assist students.
- A valid driver's license to operate vehicles for field trips.
- Ability to work collaboratively with instructors and other teaching assistants.
- Experience or aptitude for administrative tasks related to course management.
- Academic background in Psychology, Communications, or Kinesiology is preferred.
