About the role#

This position within the Terrace Dining Services Bakery provides an opportunity to gain professional experience while working in a campus environment. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining safety standards, and supporting daily bakery operations. On-the-job training is provided.

What you'll do#

• Help manage other students and assist in running shifts.
• Train new student workers on operational procedures.
• Set up and break down service lines, including managing menu items, utensils, and condiments.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation and follow all food safety protocols.
• Take and record food temperatures at required intervals.
• Replenish service lines from coolers, ovens, and hot boxes.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and management.
• Assist guests by maintaining knowledge of food items, ingredients, and allergens.

What you'll need#

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Previous experience in training new workers.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
