About the role#
The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL) is hiring a Student Coordinator for Digital Communications and Social Media for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the promotion of events and services through Intercom, IC Engage, and social media. You will also provide event support, greet visitors at Muller Chapel, and connect students with resources across campus.
What you'll do#
- Promote ORSL events through Engage and email campus partners.
- Create a social media engagement plan each semester, including program advertisements and informational posts.
- Manage ORSL social media accounts and share content with other campus groups.
- Develop and update flyers, posters, and other publicity materials in coordination with the ORSL Director.
- Communicate with affiliated groups, college departments, and community partners to cross-promote events.
- Provide peer-to-peer support and referrals for students.
- Greet visitors and maintain a welcoming environment at Muller Chapel.
- Work up to ten hours per week.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Ithaca College.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Experience with graphic design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva.
- Experience with social media platforms, specifically Instagram.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding documents, meetings, and visitor conversations.
- Availability for staff training, weekly staff meetings, biweekly one-on-one meetings, and regular office shifts.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Business Administration, Media Studies, Art, Psychology, or Sociology.
