    About the role#

    The Student Coordinator for Community, Engagement, & Programs supports the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL) and Muller Chapel. This role focuses on event logistics, administrative support, and serving as a point of contact for students and visitors. You will work up to 20 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Plan and carry out public interest events, such as interfaith dinners, at Muller Chapel.
    • Act as the first point of contact for chapel visitors and create a welcoming environment.
    • Communicate with staff and student leaders to support their needs and share ORSL resources.
    • Promote programming sponsored by registered student organizations.
    • Provide general office support and assist with the upkeep of the chapel.
    • Offer peer support and connect students to campus resources.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as a student at Ithaca College with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and good academic standing.
    • A strong understanding of the mission and values of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and Muller Chapel.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding office documents, meetings, and visitors.
    • Availability for weekly staff meetings, biweekly one-on-one meetings with the Director, and shifts that may include evenings or weekends.
    • Prior experience in event planning, group facilitation, or community engagement is preferred.
    • Preferred majors include Communications, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Business Administration, or Human Resources.

    • This position is located in Ithaca, New York.
    • The role is on-site for the Fall 2026 term.
    • This is a paid position starting at $16.15 per hour.
