About the role#
Ithaca College is hiring Chemistry Learning Assistants for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position. You will work closely with faculty to support student learning in chemistry labs and lectures.
What you'll do#
- Provide instructional and administrative support to faculty and students.
- Help prepare laboratory materials safely.
- Collect data on instrumentation.
- Run independent help sessions for students.
- Correct student work and facilitate class discussions.
- Ensure students follow safety protocols.
- Keep laboratory spaces clean and well-maintained.
- Engage proactively with students to help meet course goals.
