    About the role#

    The Audio-Visual Technician provides in-person support for live events managed by the office of Conference and Event Services. You will work independently to ensure event requirements are met for faculty, students, and staff. This position requires some prior experience with audio-visual technology. Expect to work late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

    What you'll do#

    • Set up and operate professional sound, lighting, and video projection equipment.
    • Provide direct support for live events.
    • Maintain equipment and keep storage areas clean and organized.
    • Track inventory levels.
    • Attend mandatory training sessions in the fall and spring.
    • Support college programs including Senior Week and Commencement.
    • Complete special projects as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
    • Flexibility and a collaborative approach to working with clients.
    • Knowledge of the equipment and services provided by the Campus Center and Event Services office.
    • Ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision.
    • Majors in Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or Business Administration are preferred.
