About the role#
Ithaca College is hiring undergraduate teaching assistants to support Anatomy and Physiology I and II. This role offers hands-on experience in an academic setting, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge while helping fellow students succeed. This position is paid at $16.00 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Provide teaching support for both lab and lecture content.
- Administer course materials during lab hours.
- Hold open lab office hours on a weekly or as-needed basis.
- Organize lab activities and lead interactive small group review sessions.
- Clean and maintain lab equipment and the laboratory space.
- Assist with the development of new learning materials.
- Help with the preparation, proctoring, and grading of assignments, quizzes, and exams.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of Anatomy and Physiology I and II.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
- A dependable and committed approach to student interaction.
- Experience with or the ability to learn online teaching and learning platforms.
- Professionalism and the ability to manage confidential matters.
- A commitment to the continued study of Human Anatomy and Physiology.
