STUDENT- A&E Center Welcome Desk Building Attendant

About the role#

The A&E Center Welcome Desk Building Attendant provides essential oversight and customer service for the Ithaca College Athletic and Events Center. This role involves maintaining facility operations, supporting events, and ensuring a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position requires the ability to work independently during varying hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and during college breaks.

What you'll do#

• Provide overall supervision of the A&E Center facility, including opening and closing procedures.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to all building users and visitors, providing information and directions.
• Support the execution of events before, during, and after they occur.
• Enforce front desk operations, building access, and safety procedures, including implementing the facility Emergency Action Plan when necessary.
• Assist professional staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and daily operations support.
• Aid in the implementation of day-to-day facility scheduling.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Drop Box.
• Experience or familiarity with 25 Live or R25 Computer Scheduling Systems.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and enforce facility policies and regulations.
• Interest or experience in student activities, athletics, or recreation events.
• Availability to work 10 to 20 hours per week, including flexible shifts and college breaks.

• Location: Ithaca, New York.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
