About the role#
The Parking and Visitor Engagement Assistant role allows students to work outdoors while supporting campus operations. This position requires a set weekly schedule for the semester with a minimum of 2-hour shifts. This is a paid position at a rate of $16 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Monitor assigned parking lots to ensure vehicles comply with permit requirements and reserved space regulations.
- Issue citations to parking violators.
- Staff the Visitor and Parking Information Booth to welcome guests, provide directions, and issue parking permits.
- Operate a portable two-way radio to communicate with Parking Services.
- Assist with traffic control during special campus events.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to walk for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
- Experience using a portable two-way radio.
- Ability to assist with traffic control duties.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, Criminal Justice, or Psychology are relevant to this role.
