About the role#
The Parking and Visitor Engagement Assistant position offers an opportunity to work outdoors while supporting campus operations. This role involves monitoring parking areas and assisting visitors. Students are expected to work a set weekly schedule for the semester, with a minimum requirement of a 2-hour block per shift.
What you'll do#
- Monitor assigned parking lots to ensure vehicles comply with permit requirements and parking regulations.
- Issue citations to parking violators.
- Staff the Visitor and Parking Information Booth to welcome visitors, provide directions, and issue parking permits.
- Operate a portable two-way radio to communicate with Parking Services.
- Assist with traffic control during special events.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to walk for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
- Experience using a portable two-way radio.
- Preference for students pursuing majors in Business Administration, Communications, Criminal Justice, or Psychology.
