    About the role#

    This position supports the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity (CSCRE) at Ithaca College. You will work directly with the department administrative assistant and faculty to manage daily office operations. This is a paid, on-site, part-time role with a rolling term.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform office tasks like copying, scanning, and light typing.
    • Handle data entry and update Excel spreadsheets for course schedules, mailing lists, and student major or minor records.
    • Manage office communications by answering phone inquiries and greeting walk-in visitors.
    • Update the department website and social media channels.
    • Assist with special projects, poster design, and distributing materials around campus.

    What you'll need#

    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
    • Reliability and punctuality.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive files and materials.
    • Students from majors such as Communications, Business Administration, Sociology, History, or Political Science are encouraged to apply.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Ithaca, New York.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Hours: 5 to 10 hours per week, with a schedule negotiable based on student availability and department needs.
    • Compensation: $16 per hour.
