About the role#
The Food Court Student Production Associate supports food production, service, and the guest experience at retail dining locations. This role focuses on food safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Students gain hands-on experience in food preparation, station setup, and team operations while working in a supportive environment. This position is open to students from various majors, including Business Administration, Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Human Resources, and Psychology.
What you'll do#
- Greet and serve guests with a professional demeanor.
- Prepare and replenish menu items while following quality standards.
- Operate foodservice equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
- Assist with cooking and cold prep under culinary supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace by washing dishes, cleaning tables, and performing sanitation tasks.
- Set up and break down service stations.
- Record food temperatures and monitor inventory levels.
What you'll need#
- Ability to operate standard foodservice equipment.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures, including HACCP and allergy awareness.
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and collaborate with team members.
- Capability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic cooking skills and the ability to follow instructions under supervision.
