About the role#
Insights is the division of IQT that produces geopolitical analysis regarding dual-use technology. As a Research Assistant Intern, you will engage with topics related to emerging technology, venture capital, startups, and geopolitical trends. You will support the team with research, writing, knowledge management, and various strategic projects.
What you'll do#
- Collect, synthesize, and organize quantitative and qualitative information to support Insights products.
- Draft and contribute to reports in collaboration with Research Managers.
- Manage and triage information from IQT offices to support knowledge sharing.
- Analyze global trends in venture capital, emerging technology, and national security.
- Review existing research to identify key analytic judgements and uncover critical gaps.
- Support the integration of AI tools into research and writing workflows.
- Lead or assist with strategic initiatives and provide ad hoc support.
What you'll need#
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Experience, coursework, or interest in investing, venture capital, entrepreneurship, technology, innovation, national security, or geopolitics.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with the Intelligence Community or Department of War is a plus.

- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office and teleworking).
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $35 to $45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
