About the role#
As a Research Engineering Co-Op at M2S Group, you will contribute to the development of new products and technologies. You will own projects under the guidance of a senior engineer or scientist. Your work involves generating prototypes, evaluating materials, and supporting production trials for direct thermal products and specialty coatings.
What you'll do#
- Generate and screen lab prototypes to support product development.
- Perform new material evaluations to enhance existing products.
- Conduct advanced product testing and develop new test methods.
- Lead or support production trials and report results.
- Collaborate with mentors and research personnel to ensure project success.
What you'll need#
- At least 1 year of undergraduate experience in Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Bio-Based Products Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Chemistry.
- Ability to apply scientific and engineering principles in a lab setting.
- Commitment to lab safety when using chemicals and equipment.
- Self-motivated curiosity and a strong eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to update colleagues on trial and lab results.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Location & details#
- Location: Appleton, Wisconsin.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday during business hours, with occasional nights or weekends as needed.
- Paid position.
- Benefits: $500 per month housing stipend, access to an onsite fitness center, and a $150 voucher for steel-toe shoes.
