About the role#
Our Manufacturing Software Engineering team designs and builds the software and algorithms needed to automate production. We focus on ensuring every product meets strict performance and safety standards. As an intern, you will build tools for manufacturing equipment, analyze data, and contribute to large-scale projects. You will report to a Manufacturing Staff Software Engineer.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test software systems to control machines and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share project updates and deliver results.
- Present your work and the lessons you learned to the team at the end of your term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program for Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, with plans to return to school after the internship.
- Availability for a full-time, 10-12 week internship starting in May or June 2027.
- Hands-on experience with at least one modern programming language, preferably C# or Python.
- Interest in automation and a willingness to work with both software and hardware.
- Strong analytical and time management skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly.
- Experience with OOP-OOD concepts, firmware, hardware control, and data engineering is a plus.
- Ability to identify and debug issues within complex software and hardware systems.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Sunnyvale, California.
- The role is on-site and requires full-time availability of approximately 40 hours per week.
- This is a paid internship.
