About the role#
This internship focuses on medical writing for clinical and regulatory documentation. You will report to the Senior Manager of Medical Sciences and assist with literature reviews, clinical data summaries, and the development of Clinical Evaluation Reports. This role supports our regulatory filings and the clinical review of marketing materials.
What you'll do#
- Review and write clinical documentation, specifically Clinical Evaluation Reports and other regulatory filings.
- Perform comprehensive literature searches to support product lines and clinical studies.
- Collaborate with the clinical librarian to gather data on products and surgical procedures.
- Critically appraise scientific literature and draft clinical summaries.
- Review clinical content in promotional materials for accuracy.
- Assist with the creation of protocols, clinical study reports, conference abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Manage document formatting, proofreading, and the integration of review comments.
- Ensure all work complies with corporate standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s, MD, or Doctorate program in a scientific field.
- You must be returning to your academic program after the internship.
- Experience in an academic setting conducting literature searches and appraising scientific data.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking, analytical skills, and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and learn about new surgical specialties quickly.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to meet project timelines.
Location & details#
- Location: Sunnyvale, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Duration: 10 to 12 weeks, starting in May or June.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
