About the role#
As an Assistant Project Manager Intern, you will provide direct support to the Project Manager and jobsite leadership. This role focuses on the managerial and leadership functions required to keep industrial projects on track. You will work under direct supervision while gaining hands-on experience in construction management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day managerial and leadership tasks on the jobsite.
- Run project control systems and analyze project data to support decision-making.
- Handle CPM schedule creation, updates, and Last Planner crew scheduling.
- Manage project communications, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
- Perform estimating take-offs and support change order analysis.
- Assist with material procurement and the expediting of subcontracts.
- Participate in monthly project reviews and attend onsite client meetings.
- Collaborate with trade contractors and promote the company safety culture.
- Help leadership solve problems and identify methods to achieve project success.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or associate degree program for electrical engineering, electrical technology, or construction management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Experience or ability to track and organize complex projects while prioritizing daily tasks.
- Comfort speaking in front of clients, peers, and managers.
- A flexible mindset that is open to adjusting project systems to deliver results.
