    About the role#

    The Volunteer Coordination Intern supports the Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) office by managing the lifecycle of volunteers and interns. This role works closely with the Volunteer Coordinator and Community Relations Officer to facilitate recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing administration. This is an unpaid, full-time, on-site internship with a rolling term.

    What you'll do#

    • Recruit, screen, train, and supervise volunteers and mentors.
    • Conduct outreach and networking activities to recruit and educate potential volunteers and partners.
    • Manage the onboarding and exit processes, including processing background checks, setting up accounts, and leading orientation sessions.
    • Maintain accurate data in databases and record program metrics.
    • Compile and post volunteer and intern position descriptions.
    • Manage and track monthly volunteer and intern timesheets.
    • Collaborate with program managers to identify and support volunteer opportunities across various programs.

    What you'll need#

    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively as a team member in a cross-cultural environment.
    • Detail-oriented approach with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Previous experience in volunteer management, recruitment, or administrative roles is strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with the Salesforce database management system is a plus.
    • Current enrollment or background in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or Sociology is preferred.
    • Willingness to adhere to all workplace policies and professional standards.
