The Operations Intern provides administrative and operational support to the International Rescue Committee in Atlanta. This in-person role reports to the Operations Coordinator and requires a commitment of 15 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months. Please note that this is an unpaid internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the Administrative Assistant with managing reception materials, answering client questions, and directing requests to appropriate staff.
- Maintain the reception area and lobby to ensure a neat and professional environment.
- Liaise with office and equipment maintenance providers and other external parties.
- Provide coverage for the front desk.
- Submit intern hours through the volunteer dashboard.
- Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Business Administration, Political Science, Human Resources, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Professional communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
- Must pass a background check.
