About the role#
The Education and Youth Services (EYS) internship for Fall 2026 offers an opportunity to support refugee youth and their families in Louisville. This is an unpaid, on-site role for students or recent graduates who want to assist in academic and social integration efforts.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with EYS staff and clients to schedule School Orientation sessions.
- Assist in the administration of school enrollment preparations.
- Help develop revised curriculum materials for School Orientation.
- Organize and coordinate after-school enrichment activities that focus on social development and academic improvement.
- Facilitate parent-teacher meetings and act as a liaison between parents and school administrators.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Access to a personal vehicle or reliable transportation.
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with strict confidentiality.
- Strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
