About the role#
The International Association of Chiefs of Police is hiring an intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a part-time, paid, remote position. You will support the IACP Policy Center and various program areas by assisting with research, administration, and project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the IACP Policy Center.
- Research, edit, and format Policy Center documents.
- Assist with projects focused on law enforcement responses to people with mental health disorders and intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Help organize focus group meetings and translate research documents for field use.
- Support management studies and projects related to Community-Based Crime Reduction, Anti-Human Trafficking, and Victim Services.
- Complete additional tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current college student, graduate student, or recent graduate within the past six months.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, members, and partners.
- Interest in or knowledge of the law enforcement profession is a plus.
