About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Procurement Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Georgia. You will work alongside procurement professionals to gain practical experience in wood procurement and mill operations.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on exposure to wood procurement processes.
- Assist with log valuation and stumpage acquisition activities.
- Learn how relationships with logging contractors support safe and efficient operations.
- Collect and organize data to support procurement decisions.
- Contribute to process improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program related to forestry, natural resources, or wood products processing.
- A basic understanding of workplace safety rules and regulations.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in hot or inclement weather.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

- Location: Georgia, United States.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4-8 months).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Starting at $3,700 per month, plus a temporary living allowance for those relocating.
