About the role#
As a Lean Continuous Improvement Co-op, you will join the Operations Excellence team at INNIO Group. You will work with manufacturing, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve plant operations. This role focuses on identifying performance gaps, developing solutions, and building a culture of continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects from initial problem identification to final implementation.
- Perform time studies and workflow analyses to find bottlenecks and suggest Lean improvements.
- Assist with the rollout and maintenance of Lean tools such as 5S, standard work, and visual management.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to track progress.
- Document improvements to ensure they are sustained over time.
- Spend time on the shop floor to understand processes firsthand.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a diploma in a field like Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or machining.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and the ability to read blueprints.
- Experience operating CNC machines and using hand tools safely.
- A collaborative approach when working with operators, technicians, and managers.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas to different audiences.

- Term: Fall 2026 (September to December).
