About the role#
This co-op position supports the Order Engineering and Power Generation team at INNIO. You will focus on the design of reciprocating engines and packaged generator sets. You will work with global engineering teams to provide product solutions. This includes handling Engineering Change Requests to improve assembly or test processes, updating customer drawings, and completing custom design requests for new sales. You will also manage Bill of Material creation and project tasks while following company quality systems.
What you'll do#
- Create and modify parametric 3D models and drawings using CREO to communicate design intent.
- Produce 2D drawings while considering manufacturability and design requirements.
- Create and release complete technical data packages for production.
- Complete business system transactions for Engineering Change releases.
- Generate customer documentation packages for installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Use design expertise to help resolve manufacturing issues.
- Participate in project teams as a mechanical resource and join technical design reviews.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated design skills to analyze technical requirements.
- Experience designing circuit schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with CAD file management systems like Pro/Intralink or PDMLINK/Windchill.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication.
