About the role#
This Machining Engineering Co-op position is based in Welland, Ontario, for the Fall 2026 term. You will join the Machining Team to support continuous improvement projects and optimize manufacturing processes. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, trend, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, product quality, throughput, and yield.
- Compile and analyze process data to prepare technical reports and present results.
- Investigate root causes of atypical events and assist with new product qualification activities.
- Contribute to Lean and Six Sigma process improvement initiatives.
- Support the Technical Operations department with process executions and change management.
- Use ERP enterprise software to source information and navigate business operations.
- Assist in validating purchased components to facilitate supplier qualifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of CNC Mill and Lathe operations, as well as manual Mill and Lathe operation.
- Analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor, or experience with Oracle and other ERP systems, is considered an asset.
