About the role#
This is an 8 month contract position within the Canadian Tax team at Diageo, beginning in September 2026. You will gain experience in a corporate tax department and learn to navigate the SAP General Ledger system.
What you'll do#
- Prepare indirect tax returns.
- Assist with commodity and income tax compliance.
- Support the team during various tax audits.
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Monitor and follow up on pension payments.
- Assist the tax team with projects and general administration.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Good accounting knowledge.
- Prior experience in tax, accounting, or audit.
- Proficiency with Windows applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
